Words for Wellbeing

The Words for Wellbeing group helps you unlock memories, explore feelings, gain insights, and discover new clarity and confidence.

You don't have to be a writer to do this. Words for Wellbeing works for everyone because it's not just about writing, it's about you. There's absolutely no judgement and no right or wrong way to do it.

Simple writing prompts are used to help you to:

  • express your feelings

  • calm stress and anxiety

  • reconnect with yourself

  • widen your horizons

  • discover your creativity

  • see new ways forward

  • have fun

Writing prompts can be about anything. Depending on the day's theme, you might be asked about a favourite memory of summer, or about something you noticed on your journey that day, or perhaps it could be about a colour you love, or a treasured possession. Every session is different and is designed to provoke different memories and thoughts.

You don't need to write long answers. You may be someone who just jots down a few words, or draws a picture, or simply thinks about it without putting anything on paper. You never need share anything if you don't wish to; your notebook is private to you. Some people do however find sharing things with others in the group, helpful and life-affirming. The choice is yours.

There is now much scientific evidence that writing for wellbeing improves happiness, confidence, and resilience.

Why not come and give it a try.
